Would TT pursue S Gibril Wilson, who reportedly signed a 6year $39 million contract last year but was released by the Raiders? Given that the Packers have a few of their own that they need/want to sign to long term contracts (e.g. WR Jennings, LB/DE Kampman, etc) I would think that giving G Wilson similar money to last years contract would not be possible.

Any comments from rest of you?

well he has to be happy he got 16 million in guarantees so 16 million for a year heck sign me up. I think though he goes back to the Giants. We have bigger needs then saftey. If anything I would like to see the packers maybe look at the Bills CB. He turned down the Bills offer of 5 years 20 million.

The Raiders cut him because of his salary, and I wouldn't think he'd come cheaply here either. With us having to potentially extend Collins/Jennings/Kampman/Spitz/Colledge by next offseason, we're gonna need all the cap we can get. Even if he comes cheap we have bigger needs than safety.

So you think the starting strong safety spot is solid? Last year they were on injury from a meltdown there. I think there is some room to upgrade there.
