Since you guys updated the server software, the site no longer remembers my login - I need to log in every time I come to the site.
I tried deleting cookies - but it still forgets me each time...
Surprised it wasn't mentioned earlier.
Anyone else seeing this?
For what it's worth - this time it remembered me...
Weird...
Had to re-login again just now...

Yes. This happened a while back and I asked the same question but did no one really had a answer for it then.

Yes for a long while it stopped. Now for the past 3-4 days or say it started doing it again.

It's been doing this with me for a long time now. But if I go into a thread it logs me in, but not all the time.

I had the same problem. In firefox, I selected tools / options / privacy / show cookies. I deleted all my cookies from PackerChatters. It seems better now.

Sunday, 10/12/08, 10:02 AM. I had to log in again. Even though I had asked the site to remember me. It didn't. A small hassle, but still a hassle. Anyway, here's hoping the Packers find a way to win in Seattle, just as Columbus, 516 years ago, rediscovered the New World- only this time it wasn't forgotten. Just like I hope the Packers don't forget how to go on a winning streak. Not angry, just inconvenienced.

yup, I'm back to logging in every day. Apparently the cookies expire. Bad cookies. Larry, please switch from cookies to twinkies, they're forever.

I just figured the problem was because I'm using Firefox (and I've had this same "lack of memory" problem other places since I switched to Version 3.0.
It is a bit annoying. I suppose it makes it less likely that I'll forget my password, though, if I have to use it multiple tiimes.

ok, guys, the problem is the expiration timestamp put on the cookies. They should not expire at the end of the day. At the bare minimum the logged in cookie should last until the end of the session; in my opinion it should be like before, and last forever, at least if that's what you ask for.

Could be how you have your computer set up on shut down.
Check your cookie settings and other things.

It is now happening to me. I was curious if you had to do it just the first time you go on this site each day so while I was logged in I exited out of the site and then back in. I had to log in again. Darn gremlins. I guess there are worse things.

Best guess, and it is just that because not everyone is experiencing the same, is that perhaps you are caching your login credentials from the old site. If you can, try clearing your cache, close your browser and come back in here. You will need to login back in here after doing this but see if it "sticks" after doing so.

ok, guys, I've logged in three times today. My computer has not been turned off for over a week. My firefox started fresh this morning, due to a ))(&*^)(&*^ windows auto-upchuckdate, and has not been closed since. Nor has my PC tab.
It's happening to lots of people.
All the time.
It's the stupid cookies.
It's time to get on this and fix it.
