The 31 year old corner was released this morning for Jason Craft, formerly of the Saints (Yikes).

I know age can be a factor and Ted likes his young talent, but, wouldn't it help a little bit to have a vet back there to compliment Woodson? I'm usually not for the street FA pickup due to injury, but not having Harris back there is a HUGE blow to the D. Maybe this could soften the blow.

What do you guys think? I think a slight change of a scenery to a contender, along with some coaching, can do wonders for a player.

This guy was highly touted not too long ago. Could he be worth a look as a band-aid while Harris is gone? Although I would be very wary of signing someone from the Rams.
I would prefer to let Williams start and let Blackmon, Bush and Lee duke it out for 3,4,5 spots but just throwing it out there for discussion. If they dont play they wont develop and will still be unknowns. But if Brown could play at the level he has in the past he could possibly beat out Tramon and definately be the #3.

You MUST absoluetely take a look at him. If he can make the team better ,which I think he can then you sign him.

I read somewhere this AM that there is some concern he may be about to get a 1 year suspension for failing a drug test. Otherwise I agree, he would at least give some veteran experience

I'm all for a vet as long as he doesn't stink. Technically Ahmad Carroll is a veteran CB too. Getting cut from one of the worst teams in football is not exactly good for the resume.
How much more effective would Fahkir be over Williams?

Thought I'd seen a rumour somewhere in another forum mentioning that he was due to be suspended for drugs or some such...sorry, can't find it now, and don't really want to spread anything unfounded...perhaps that's why they let him go? Just a thought

I hadnt heard that. That is a red flag the size of those flags at car dealerships along the highway. No need to waste our time on that, Harris will be back or retired by then. I brought it up cause I thought he could possibly be a band-aid if our youngsters arent ready yet. He wouldnt cost picks like Shepard or Asomugha and we would probably dump him before next season anyway.

I think Tramon Williams is doing a good job. Would you really want to replace him with someone else, simply because they're available? Williams knows the schemes, knows the other players, and knows the NFC North. Brown would be starting from scratch. To me, this is too risky a move. Put me in the minority on this thread, and pass.
