Anyone wives or girlfriends go shopping today?

My wife left the house this morning with my mom and sister at 4:00! I told her she was freaking nuts.

She is on her way home now.

I know there are some good deals out there but it was 10 degrees this morning when she left.

Thats why you're supposed to hide the keys... and if needed... the credit cars too...

This method should also be used for every other day out there... I don't know how many times a conversation has started with.
"OMG I saved like 400 dollars today on marked down items"... followed by something like "Oh I spent about 600 though"

She's got her own CC but I set the limit on it wink.gif

I just cant believe the amount of people that do this. I was watching the news last night and saw people at Best Buy since Wednesday night!

People actually spent the holiday camping out on a sidewalk in front of a store.

I went to Kohls at 9am picked up two things and was out in about half a hour. Not to bad only about 5 minutes in line to check out. On the news there where nuts that where out in front of CC and BB at 10 am yesterday.

I didn't see anything in their ads worth standing in line for. I refuse to go back to Circuit City. Last year I got in, grabbed the item I needed, and then spent two hours in line trying to check out and there was only 10 people in front of me. Their computer system for checkout can't handle the load. It took forever for each person to check out.

I've been going out every year because there are fantastic bargains, you just need to know how to work the system. I started out at a "secondary" store, one that doesn't really appeal to people but it had a good bargain.

Didn't get much, though. Got some snow shoes for games at Lambeau Field, blue jeans for $8, a few other miscellaneous items, and stuff for the girlfriend's birthday. Missed the crowds and lines and did just fine.

But... there weren't that many people out and I think it's because the stores didn't do a good job with the bargains. I'm going to bet that this will be a bad day for the retailers and it's their own fault though the news will spin it as evidence we're going into a recession. But... I have no idea what the numbers and totals are so I'm throwing out hot air until the facts come in.
