Cyah Hawkins, later Horton. Maybe in the next life fellas. Adios amigos. Hi Mr. Bush welcome to Green Bay. Were glad youre here. Take a seat. Want a drink ? A beer ? MGD or Miller lite? Hungry? Here, try a double brat on a hard roll.
Almost verything i read about Jarrett Bush so far has gotten me a little bit excited.
Heres a link to a Carolina Panthers forum thread discussing him a little bit.
The only knock on him physically is that he doesnt have great speed. Other than that he has quick feet, loose hips, and a nose for the ball.
Im looking for some more links to paste here..

This guy performed well in preseason and fans and sportswriters thought he would make the Panther team.
The Panthers however kept 6 DT's 4 safeties and 4 CB's. It looks like he was their 5th CB on a good defense.
Now he should be ahead of Blackmon for the #4 as Blackmon missed a lot of training.
The guy is an upgrade so the Packers should not be disappointed.
He is a rookie so he could be around for a few years.

I'm not sure if you meant links about Bush or any of the pickups, but here's another one, about Tony Palmer:

Speaking of Blackmon its good to know he will be ready in a few weeks, he might have been our NB had he not been injured all of camp.

There is an interesting story on the MJS web site by Silverstein about this issue.
Apparently, Blackmon is practicing and will be able to pay on Sunday. Probably jus t on special teams though.
He brings up a point that I think is crucial. We now have four players in the secondary who are first year guys: the two late pick ups, plus Blackmon and Culver.
Question: When the opponent goes to a four WR set, who is going to be the fourth CB for us? That is, after Carroll. The other two corners have yet to practice at the position with us or play an exhibition with us. So how can they know the scheme?
I guess the best thing to do is bring in Collins as the fourth corner and then use Culver at his safety posiiton. But I don't think Collin s has done that before with us. H e probably last played corner back in college. But right now, that is the best solution.
We are lucky the Bears are not a good passing team. Can you imagine what the Colts or Bengals would do to that secondary when they went to four wides?

Here's another quote from a Panther fan
And my only big disappointment...Jarret Bush out and McCadam in. If I am not mistaken, Reggie Howard can play a safety position so if Salley looked too raw for the #4 safety spot then why keep McCadam? Back in March, when our special teams rosters was being torn apart by cuts and FA signings, McCadam looked like a necessary pick up but he seems totally useless now and he is not a good cover safety at all. In 2 or three seasons, all of us will be kicking ourselves about losing Bush. He just needs a little more time to be a dangerous dime back.

I hope that Bush is a huge upgrade over Carroll.
And, please don't take this as being sarcastic. I am just trying to perhaps put some perspective on the source of the comments ... fans talking on a forum. We have to remember all the fans on this board that wrote that Hawkins was going to be something really special. And, there were many others along the way. I hope that these posts are right, but, its hard for me to get too excited yet.
