According to some sources, Green Bay might receive New York's 7th round pick. I saw one listing of draft picks, however, that showed this pick had been traded to Dallas by the Jets.

if they traded their 7th, meaning they dont have a 7th, does that mean we get their 6th?

according to GBN, there are several traded picks involving the Jets (getting and owing), including them potentially owing us a 7th for Morley

It doesn't seem like this is something that should be shrouded in mystery. Either they got the pick according to the terms of that deal, or they didn't.

Does the terminology in these trades get that technical?

I was surely under the impression we would get the conditional pick if Morely stayed on the Jets roster, which I believe he did. There must have been more to the conditions than just staying on the roster because I have seen a couple different places where the Jets have traded their 7th and I think another 7th they got in a trade.

Usually these things involve wether or not the player was active (45 man roster), or the amount of playing time he recieved. That would be a reason for uncertainty, but by now the league should have that figured out.

Steve Morley was traded to the Jets on September 3, 2005, for a conditional draft choice. On October 26, 2005, he signed a contract extension through the 2007 season. In 2005 he was active with the Jets for 7 games. I did not find any information about him for the 2006 season.

I did some searching on the subject and found this -

(January 17, 2007) -- We are happy to announce the signing of 6'7" / 318 lb. offensive guard/tackle STEVE MORLEY with the Seattle Seahawks for the 2007 and 2008 NFL seasons.

Steve played for the New York Jets for the 2005 NFL season and during the 2006 training camp. In 2006, he reported to camp in the best physical condition of his career, dropping his weight from 340 to 311 to help improve his quickness and agility. He played in all 4 of the Jets' preseason games, seeing time at both OT and OG. He finished the preseason starting at OG against the Eagles.

Elsewhere in the 13thman.com website it says Morley was cut by the Jets in the last cutdown following the 2006 pre-season.

I'm pretty sure that the Jets don't owe GB anything for Morley. As I recall, he had to be on the roster for the entire season and he only lasted 7 games.
