On the Aaron Rodgers pass to Jennings - How much of that 85 yards was the actual pass, and how much was YAC? I haven't been able to find that information anywhere.

General comments:

Last night's game was a good example of why it's silly to get hysterical over one pre-season game (San Diego). Similarly, I'm not going to get over-excited about what occurred last night. I'll just say this - I'm pleased to see - I should say, read/hear - that McCarthy addressed some of the failures from the first pre-season game. I'm also pleased to read/hear that the team exhibited a sense of urgency and 'oomph'. I don't care if it's a 'meaningless' pre-season game; this team has been lethargic and sleepwalking thru games (particularly right out of the gate at the onset of the last few seasons) for far too long now. And considering that much of the roster is young talent that still has a lot to prove, there's no excuse for these players not 'bringing it' in these pre-season games. They are auditioning, after all.

To reiterate a point I've made before, our last several pre-seasons (especially the games) were very poor under the previous regime. And it carried over into the regular-season, with the players looking like they just were not prepared mentally or physically. This is the number one thing I'm watching this pre-season. Last night was a start in the right direction. Let's hope they keep it up.

The ball was tipped at the line but still made it to Jennings about 12yds down the field. It was a slant pass. Actually, if the ball hadn't been tipped it looked like it was going to be behind Jennings, but the deflection made it so he caught it right in stride and took it to the house. The safety on the play also reacted to the tip and that may be way he was so out of position.

Thanks for the details. :)

The only knock I would make on him and anyone else in that position is run full speed with the ball tucked in until you cross that goal line, then celebrate. It seemed like Jennings let up a little on the speed.

He did perform a rather solid Lambeau Leap, though. Coach McCarthy has to be pleased with his form on that. ;)

How many players who scored did the Leap last night?

We need to bring the Leap back. It's been disappearing from Lambeau in the last few years . . .

Could be, but did you notice that despite the fact that he is knocked for not being so fast that he outran those two DBs quite nicely?

Jennings actually commented in the post-game interview that he didn't understand why people weren't doing the Leap anymore. Jennings was the only person who did not eschew the Leap last night.

I would have thought Horton would have done it, but he almost seemed to taunt the crowd rather than jump in it. I know he's been maligned by the media and fans, but doing a good Leap is a great way to turn that around in a hurry.

Don't forget about Zac Alcorn doin the lambeau leap. Although it wasn't too impressive he looked as though he was very excited for his first leap. He was a bit goofy but at least he did it, unlike horton. I love how jennings always wants to do the lambeau leap. If you saw the scrimmage game jennings was jumping into the stands everytime someone scored even if it wasn't him who scored the Touchdown, gotta love that.
