I was just listening to Sports Radio 1250 and Peter Brown said Charles Woodson and Mike McCarthy got into a little arguement. McCarthy expects more out of Woodson and his work ethic and Woodson is not meeting McCarthy's "expectations."
In a way I think this is good. I hope McCarthy didn't come out to the media and say this but I hope it was McCarthy putting a little smoke under Woodson's butt and was overheard by a reporter. Hopefully it was Peter Brown visiting the training camp and seeing McCarthy yelling at Woodson. This is what I like about MM. He doesn't care who you are. He will tear you a new one even if the town has a street named after you. I hope he keeps it up, pushes the players, but never tries to embarass a player in the media. That's just not cool!

I too hope MM isn't afraid to rip into a high payed veteran. It seems Woodson has been pretty productive in camp, has enough int's to show for it, but he does seem like kind of guy who would coast thru camp, not taking individual drills seriously , etc. Anyone who has seen Al Harris is a practice can see how a true pro handles it. Everytime I've seen Harris, he gives it his all in every single individual drill, every rep, etc. Maybe he should cool it, he's making the $ 10 million man look bad....... :D

Signing and drastically overpaying Woodson was a terrible mistake. Woodson is living off his college past, and the Packers bit. As soon as the heat gets turned on, you'll find Woodson nursing an injury on the sidelines. The fact we got into a bidding war with another team while 30 other teams passed on him says a lot.

I'm not sure I agree with you, but you never know until the season starts and the reason 30 other teams past was probably more due to the fact that not too many other teams had a whole lot of cap space.

One of the symptoms of a "pampered part of society".
Woodson came to GB with a reputation of being a great talent, but a player who only wanted to work by his standards and not by that of his team. Lincoln Kennedy made some real harsh remarks regarding Woodson's work habits and coming from a former teammate, that had to send up the red flags.
Good news that MM was willing to call him out a bit. Woodson is all pro talent, getting paid like it, and MM , the Packer organization and surely us fans should expect Woodson's top effort and best performance.
