Is Anyone Else Loving This? Go Bears!

I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be cheering for Da Bear, but holy smoke. I am thoroughly enjoying this. Week 16, and Jay Cutler finally shows up for work. 16-0 at the half! Chicago is just taking it to them on both sides of the ball.
If this holds up, what a fantastic day it is going to be for me tomorrow, living here in the Twin Cities. I'm going to structure my day so that I'm never too far away from the radio to listen to the sports talk shows. Man, the Minnesota fans are going to be screaming for the execution of both Favre and Childress all week!

That team is in disarray. I'm not even going to speak to #4 but that offense just stinks and that defense cannot tackle nor cover a reciever. I know it sounds ridiculous now but they probably peaked to early . I think they are 1 and done in the playoffs. Could be wrong but something just doesn't seem right on that team. I always love to see the Vikings get spanked mercilessly and tonight is no different. I just wish it wasn't the Bears as I hate them just as much!

It's a lot easier when the Bears are out of it, but yeah - it feels stranger than hell screaming for Cutler.
OK, Bazooka Time. Come on, Brett, this is your cue to start trying to throw for 3 touchdowns on every pass.

OMG- I was just thinking "Someone on PC must be thinking the same thing", and here it is! Me, cheering for the Bears? Its like-never mind, the comparisons are too ugly to contemplate. Wow! However, one caveat. Cutler looked pretty good in the second game against GB, and is looking very good this game. If the "real" Cutler emerges after this season, and the Bears can mend some of their more obvious needs (besides starting to wear deodorant and using mouthwash on a regular basis), this could be a decent, if not dangerous team. So, yes, I'm cheering them on against the Minnesota Favres- but I don't want them duplicating this effort when the Packers have to play them.

I still can't root for the Bears for any reason. It just makes me feel dirty (and not in a way I'd like my wife to be.) I'm loving how they're taking apart the Vikings and really exposing all of their weaknesses. I really think that fans and teammates alike are really going to question both the coach and the quarterback and their ability to win late in the season. The best thing about all of it is that Chili got himself a nice fat contract extension before the collapse came on. It just makes me smile.

Good point, Ricky. But something in me still finds it hard to believe that Cutler has the mental makeup to ever put it together and be a consistently good quarterback. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but right now my best guess is that he'll be the kind of guy who's always dangerous - because you never know when he'll have a good game - but never good enough to make his team a consistent winner. Hope I'm right.
But for now, I'm just going to enjoy the hell out of tonight. Longwell extra point blocked, 50+ yard kickoff return, and Bears 1st and 10 on the Minnesota 4. Looking good at the moment!

That Minny defense is putrid. Not taking anything away from the Bears but that D is not tackling, covering nor getting any pressure. I remember early in the year how the talking heads kept touting their vaunted defense. It is no more. Vikings could be kissing their #2 seed going bye bye. Love it!

No kidding. It's like you check your lottery ticket, and find out you've got one of the two winning tickets. You call your wife at work to tell her the news, and before you can say a word, she says, "Honey! Guess what? I bought a lottery ticket last week, and I just found out it's one of the two winning tickets!"
