The hot seat just got MUCH hotter for Ted Thompson

No matter where the blame lies on the Favre divorce from Green Bay (I believe it lies mostly with Favre) the fact that Favre has come back in a Vikings uniform and beaten the Packers twice will cost TT his job (warranted or not).....

And as we learned with the TT hire/Mike Sherman firing, MM will soon follow TT out the door as the new GM will want his own guy

Those two guys are the sickest people in Packer Nation today

I don't see why Murphy would be married to TT and MM. They were here when he arrived and have had to clean up their crap ever since. I would think he would see this as an opportunity to make him mark. however, I could see him having to wait one more year because of the contracts.

I'm all in for that scenario. I said before that Murph's ace in the hole is that these guys were here before him. They are not his hires. He's in a tough spot but by feeling the pinch of the contracts, he can keep them around for one more year. If things turn out, then he looks like a genius for sticking with them If things don't turnaround, he says see ya and his full, accountable, tenure begins with his next GM hire, which in turn buys Murphy a few more years to get things righted.

Actually Athlon is wrong also. He only had the chance to opt out with ownership change and there was a window to do that. Per ESPN and Mort

When Parcells joined the Dolphins as executive vice president of football operations last year, his deal included a onetime out clause that would allow him to walk away, with the rest of his $12 million guaranteed contract fully paid, no strings attached, if Huizenga were to sell the team.

Here is one per Mort dated Feb. 6th, 2009..

While Bill Parcells says he is committed to the Miami Dolphins as their executive vice president of football operations through the 2009 season, he now has an unrestricted option to walk away from the team with his fully guaranteed salary, league sources said.

Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga removed the previously reported 30-day escape clause prior to closing on the sale of the team Jan. 20 to New York real estate billionaire Stephen Ross, the sources said. The clause, which required Parcells to notify the team of his intention to leave within 30 days if ownership was transferred from Huizenga's control, was eliminated from the contract about three weeks prior to the closing of the team's sale.

Parcells has the option to depart without any restrictions, and the team is required to pay him the financial balance of his original $12 million, four-year contract he signed in January 2008. Huizenga communicated the contractual changes to Ross, who did not protest, a league source said.

Sorry, your wrong this time.

I really think there is a 75% chance MM is gone after the season and 10% TT goes.

I just can't see this team eating that much cash.
