Cullen Jenkins Why does everyone think he would be better at DT?

In the regular season season since moving Cullen Jenkins to DE, we are 17-3. Still, I hear a lot about how he isn't getting to the quarterback as much and how he should move back to DT. Why does a guy have to get stats in order to prove his worth? Sometimes I think people under estimate when guys do the the little things and don't just make the occasional big play or pile up stats at the cost of sometimes being out of position.

IMO he isn't a starter at DE, he just doesn't have the quickness of the edge to get to the pass, as teams doubled Kampman you saw us not getting to the qb as much anymore. He is good vs the run but not the pass.

He is much better at DT than at end, the only reason why we have him at end now is because as good as KBG was at rushing the passer he either flat out got mauled on the run or over pursued.
That is also why we bring in KBG on the for sure passing downs and slide Jenkins to the DT position.
If GB got another end similar to kampman with the speed to get to the qb and the strength to hold the line on the run then Jenkins would turn into an al world DT, until then he is a stop gap end.

We are also 17-3 with Kampamn at end
17-3 with harris at CB
17-3 with Favre at QB
17-3 with barnett at MLB
I dont see how Cullen Jenkins playing at end made us 17-3...

He said since moving Cullen Jenkins to DE we are 17-3. Harris, Barnett, Favre and Kampman were already starters at their spots by then. Read the entire post before you start saying something that makes you look stupid.

You're paranoia is pretty funny. There's nothing to say to you if all you are gonna do is take one persons opinion and crap on it. There's no reason to make an asinine comment like you did when he's just pointing out what he believes.
Anyways, I agree with you kordawg that Jenkins is a good DE to compliment Kampman. His presence is great for run stopping and taking some heat off Kampman. I also think that if GB gets an opportunity to bring in Jason Taylor or Julius Peppers via trade then the Dline will be amongst the elite. I think the only guy that could possibly become a packer this offseason would be Taylor towards draft day, but if not I have faith in Jenkins.
